Terms of Use

1. The agreement

Ryokōya is provided by Zubonaru Apps ("we"). By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Your account

Accounts are created through Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for the Apple ID you use. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account, which also erases your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

3. What Ryokōya is, and is not

Ryokōya records trips and keeps a journal of them. It is not a navigation or safety application. Do not rely on it for directions, for emergency location, or for any situation where being found matters.

Location detection is imperfect. Places can be identified wrongly, missed entirely, or recorded with the wrong timing, and battery, signal and iOS may all affect what gets captured. Curated content — opening hours, addresses, whether a place is still open — is compiled with care and verified periodically, but the world changes faster than any guide. Check before you travel.

4. Purchases

All purchases are made through Apple and governed by Apple's terms. We never see or handle your payment details.

Ryokōya Pro

Pro is available as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends. Manage or cancel in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions; cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your current period intact.

Trip Pass

Trip Pass unlocks everything for 30 days. It does not renew automatically and simply ends.

City packs

City packs and city bundles are one-time purchases that stay unlocked on your Apple ID. They support Family Sharing, and can be restored on any device you sign into.

Refunds

Refunds for anything bought through the App Store are handled by Apple, not by us — see Apple's refund process. We cannot issue them directly, though we will happily help you sort out a problem.

5. Printed books

In-app ordering of printed books is not available yet; this section applies once it is. Printed trip books are produced and shipped by a third-party print partner. You buy the book from them, on their site, under their terms; payment, shipping and any print defect are handled by them. What we provide is the PDF your trip becomes. Books are printed to order from your own content, so they cannot be resold and are generally non-returnable except where faulty.

6. Your content

Your trips, notes and photos are yours. We claim no ownership and no license to use them. We cannot see them: they live on your device and, if you enable backup, in your own iCloud. If you share a card or a book publicly, that is your choice and your responsibility.

7. Our content

The app, its curated place guides, the tabitomo characters and their stories, the artwork, stamps and crowns are ours and are protected by copyright. You may use them inside the app and share the cards and books it generates. You may not extract, redistribute or resell the curated data or the artwork.

8. Fair use

Please do not: reverse-engineer the app, attempt to unlock paid content without paying for it, use it for anything unlawful, or scrape the curated guides.

9. Third-party links

The app links out to venue websites, eSIM partners and the print partner. Those sites are theirs, not ours, and we are not responsible for what they contain or do.

10. Warranty and liability

Ryokōya is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost or inaccurate trip data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and you may have consumer rights in your country that these terms cannot override.

Please keep your own copies of anything you cannot bear to lose. Trip Vault backup exists for exactly that, and exporting a trip as a PDF takes seconds.

11. Changes

These terms may change as the app does. The date at the top will change with them, and continuing to use the app means accepting the revised version.
